專業(yè)概況

CSUB offers degree programs in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Engineering Sciences. For all other engineering degrees, students can complete a substantial portion of lower division courses required for engineering programs elsewhere. Students who have completed the core mathematics and science sequences have been readily accepted by other universities, public and private, both within and outside of California. Most engineering programs are highly structured and very demanding, and careful selection of courses for transfer programs is strongly urged. Students interested in the pre-engineering program are advised to consult with the pre-engineering advisor in the Department of Physics and Engineering

The programs include a strong foundation in physics and engineering. You will also be able to take elective courses from many areas, such as physics, energy engineering, power engineering, petroleum engineering, biosystems & agricultural engineering, electrical engineering, and computer engineering.

At CSUB, students enjoy exceptional opportunities to work closely with faculty. Classes are small and promote participation and interaction among students and faculty. The student to faculty ratio in the engineering core courses is the best in the CSU system. Even more important, the professors at CSUB are dedicated to undergraduate teaching. You will discover a supportive environment that leads to real learning.

CSU Bakersfield offers a pre-engineering program. Pre-engineering students attend CSUB for 2-3 years then transfer to an engineering school where they complete the upper-division curriculum and where they will graduate with a degree in engineering. The CSUB pre-engineering program is a generic program, suitable for transfer to any engineering school and into any field of engineering. While transfer to other CSU schools are the most seamless, many CSUB students transfer to UC schools, to private schools, and to schools all over the country.
