在這里學(xué)什么？ This programme provides the opportunity to focus and gain experience, both clinically and academically, in pre-hospital care.The contemporary nature of this programme is to prepare, develop and equip you for job roles as a paramedic in the ambulance service and other clinical settings. 50 weeks of your studies are undertaken in practice placement, where you will be guided by registered professionals with a variety of experience and skills, working the same shift patterns as ambulance personnel.You will spend your ambulance placement time within one Trust so you can develop and consolidate your competencies and skills.The programme is interactive and informed by practice and scholarly research. Academic weeks usually consist of four full learning days which are a blend of learning by theory and practical sessions. You will be allocated a fixed study day each academic week to consolidate your learning and prepare for assessments. The Paramedic programme team provide a wealth of experience as practising paramedics and have individual areas of interest and expertise to bestow to you.Practice Placements are embedded within the programme. All our placements offer the full range of clinical exposure, inclusive of ambulance and non-ambulance settings. Placements will be provided across a wide geographical area within the North West (predominantly Cumbria). Whilst on practice placements you will be observing the practice of registered professionals, working under their supervision and participating in clinical practice. You will be working the same shift patterns of the registered professionals supervising you, therefore weekends will also be utilised on occasion. To facilitate a broad range of practical experience, you may be required to travel some distance to your clinical placement.
