The MA Education Professional Practice programme offers a focused menu of modules that allows you to choose research areas relevant to your own practice and interests. This route also provides you with the opportunity to apply current experience in the continued development of your professional strengths:

• Enhance your current professional learning
• Experience high standards in teaching, learning and assessment
• Achieve a specialist named pathway in education
• Enjoy a wide range of module choices for learning and leadership
• Bring existing PGCE/M Level credits with you from prior learning

Completion of the full MA (180 credits) can include opportunities to gain credits for prior masters level qualifications. There are also opportunities for accreditation of single modules, ranging from 10-30 credits, or to exit with a Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) or a Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits).

Specialist pathways can lead to enhanced career opportunities in Early Years Education, Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Inclusionary Practice and Faith School Leadership.

Course summary

Our research active tutor team will guide, support and encourage you through this exciting and challenging experience. In addition to the rigour of our academic module tutor leadership, our personal tutor approach will provide support and a connection with the programme community. The option of smaller ‘stand alone’ modules is designed as an introduction to masters-level work, while paying fees in instalments will also allow for greater flexibility and balance.
