專業(yè)概況

The ECE Department is one of the largest departments in the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology, with a strong undergraduate program that will provide you with a high-quality and broad-based education that will prepare you for successful professional careers and a lifetime of learning.

As you enter the undergraduate program in computer engineering, you will receive a broad foundation in computer engineering through combined lectures and laboratory work that will prepare you for entering the profession of computer engineering as well as for further study at the graduate level. You will take core courses to provide you with a strong background in mathematics, physical sciences, engineering sciences, computer science and the fundamentals of computer engineering. In addition, your curriculum will provide you with a wide range of electives.

Computer engineering students compete for the BBG Incorporated Endowed Scholarship in Engineering. Rising junior and senior students compete with other engineering students. Recipients of the scholarship are also considered for an engineering cooperative education/intern position with BBG Incorporated.

Annually, the Batten College of Engineering conducts the Engineering Open House in mid-February. This event is offered in conjunction with the national Engineering Week. The intent is to introduce local middle and high school students to the world of engineering. Several ECE laboratories host the visitors during this event.
