Overview

The Programme will prepare graduates who:

i. possess fundamental knowledge, principles and skills in Computer Networking,

ii. Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills in Computer Networking,

iii. Possess the ability to design, configure, install, manage and administer computer network infrastructure and security, and recognize the impact of networking on individuals, organizations and society, and

iv. Possess skills to apply and integrate various technologies in the areas of Internet of Things, mobile communications, multimedia, database and large-scale systems.

Learning outcome

Graduates of this programme will be able to:

Apply knowledge, skills and principles of lifelong learning in academic and career development;

Communicate effectively via reports and presentations;

Demonstrate teamwork, leadership, interpersonal and social skills;

Utilize relevant techniques and demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills in problem solving;

Demonstrate professionalism and social and ethical considerations in accordance with ethical and legal principles;

Apply broad business and real world perspectives daily and demonstrate creative and innovative thinking, and entrepreneurial skills.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories (such as architectures, protocols, models) relating to Information Technology especially in Computer Networking and Security;

Apply theoretical principles (design, monitoring, optimization, administration, security) of computer networks and security issues in various areas (such as Internet, mobile applications, multimedia);

Design, implement and manage Computer Networks solutions and resources, and recognize the impact of networking and security on individuals, organization and society; and

Apply and integrate various technology solutions particularly involving networking and security.

中國學生入學要求

為來自中國的學生設計 Students are required to complete international academic qualification equivalent to Malaysian STPM - Minimum 2Cs with credit in Mathematics at SPM or its equivalent, UEC - Minimum 5Bs (including English and Mathematics), GCE A-Level - Minimum 2Es with 5 credits in GCE O Level / SPM (including English and Mathematics), Foundation Matriculation - Pass with minimum CGPA 2.0 with credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent, Diploma - Pass minimum CGPA 2.5 with a credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent. Other equivalent qualifications which are recognized by the Malaysian government.
