Overview

The hospitality industry is a growth industry, and its expansion is expected to continue. A degree in Hospitality Management will provide graduates with in-depth knowledge and industry-relevant skills required to launch a career within this global thriving hospitality and tourism industry.

This programme allows students to gain a comprehensive overview of the exciting hospitality industry the course of study will take students through matters like Tourism Planning, Front Office Management, Business Ethics, Events Management, hotel, resort & restaurant management, as well as critical thinking and communication skills necessary for dealing with the general public.

In addition, the programme also focuses on building professionalism, nurturing your personal and career development pathways through industry links and internship placement.

Learning outcome

Upon completion, students are expected to be able to:

? Communicate effectively through oral, written and visual means to create and communicate understanding for different purposes and contexts, using appropriate digital technologies

? Interact and engage collaboratively in a group, contribute positively and productively and take on a range of roles within the group to meet its goals

? Acquire a breadth and depth of knowledge in the practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline areas and apply that knowledge within economic, social, environmental, technological, global and multi-cultural contexts

? Locate, organize, analyses, synthesis and evaluate information systematically, cohesively and coherently in assessing and presenting information for problem-solving and decision-making

? Demonstrate ethical practices during the operations or case studies in a socially and culturally diverse global world and the importance of sustainable development

? Interpret problems and collect evidence for analysis, synthesis and evaluation using a range of appropriate approaches and techniques

? Consider new ideas, methods and approaches in theoretical and practical perspectives, think creatively and critically and understand the importance of responding to a changing environment flexibly and proactively

? Show or demonstrate leadership skill through assigned activities or assignments/ leading project/tasks to motivate, direct and engage others towards goal achievement in a way that values diversity, equality and contribution of others

為來自中國的學生設計 Students are required to complete international academic qualification equivalent to Malaysian STPM - Minimum 2Cs with credit in Mathematics at SPM or its equivalent, UEC - Minimum 5Bs (including English and Mathematics), GCE A-Level - Minimum 2Es with 5 credits in GCE O Level / SPM (including English and Mathematics), Foundation Matriculation - Pass with minimum CGPA 2.0 with credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent, Diploma - Pass minimum CGPA 2.5 with a credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent. Other equivalent qualifications which are recognized by the Malaysian government.
