6月15日，蘇州工業(yè)園區(qū)海歸人才子女學(xué)校首屆“奧卡斯”獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金舉行了頒獎(jiǎng)儀式。海歸學(xué)校11年級(jí)學(xué)生蕭同學(xué)、張同學(xué)，10年級(jí)學(xué)生張同學(xué)，成為首屆獲獎(jiǎng)學(xué)生。

園區(qū)統(tǒng)戰(zhàn)部副部長(zhǎng)陳翔、園區(qū)教育局政宣處副處長(zhǎng)陶宇星、市委統(tǒng)戰(zhàn)部?jī)S務(wù)事務(wù)處處長(zhǎng)張輝分別為三位學(xué)生頒獎(jiǎng)。

是鼓勵(lì)，更是動(dòng)力

三位學(xué)生分別用英文發(fā)表了獲獎(jiǎng)致辭。他/她們用親身體驗(yàn)講訴自己成功之前的挫敗和沮喪、堅(jiān)持和努力;講訴自己來到OCAC之后的成長(zhǎng)和改變;更表達(dá)對(duì)獲獎(jiǎng)的感激、對(duì)未來的期許……

11年級(jí)張同學(xué)致辭(節(jié)選)：

As a OCAC student, I treat myself as a small tree, rooting in this land, absorbing the Chinese culture here, and growing up with the help of students and teachers, and one day, I’ll reach the sky and see the world. OCAC gives me possibilities of becoming a greater person, and chances to improve my ability in planning, leading, time management, empathy and open-minded.

I’ve been here for two years, and I think I’ve been changing a lot. I can still remember when I was first here, I’m the kind of by-the-book student, but gradually, I started to argue against authority, to think, to challenge because my teachers respect my ideas. I’m more myself in this school, with global perspective, with passion and ambition for greater success. I’m no longer a “good student,” but I’m the learner. I’ll always be grateful to OCAC, for helping me and allowing to me become myself.

11年級(jí)蕭同學(xué)致辭(節(jié)選)：

……Then, reality punched me in the face. Those subjects that I thought I was good at, chemistry and physics, gave a hit to me. I did poorly in those popular competitions. I saw people of my age were better than me, in all sense: activities, sport, research, GPA, sat, and TOEFL.

It’s very stressful and depressing when you reach the palace of talents and keep wandering around, finding out you can’t even open the door.

I started to lose my confidence. I pretended to be indifferent, but there was a voice in my heart, saying I should not give up. I shouldn’t give away all the honors.

So I concentrated on these subjects in the close season, hoping to make a great coup. And after all, I succeed. All these things that I wasn’t able to achieve last year, coming to me one by one.

Now I had a good sat, a good TOEFL, lots of award of competitions, research on the way. Believe me, I said that not because I want you to feel pressure, but really, those hard time has passed. The dawn has come.

10年級(jí)張同學(xué)致辭(節(jié)選)：

First and foremost, I would like to thank my fellow schoolmates for persistently supporting me along this remarkable learning journey. Since last September, when I first stepped into this new campus as a transfer student, you have never treated me as an outsider. Instead, you have always made me assimilate into this young and vibrant team, offering me the most necessary help in learning and living generously……

Secondly, I want to thank my teachers for choosing me as an awardee of the scholarship. Thank you for working constructively for our vigorous school and unique learning environment……

Last but not least, I am grateful to the administration committee of Suzhou Industrial Park for your financial support towards our school and our returnee scholar community. This award further encourages me to open up my world view and return for my own country's development as a real talent.

是期望，更是深愛

孩子的成績(jī)背后，必定有著父母全方位的支持與鼓勵(lì)。11年級(jí)張同學(xué)的母親作為家長(zhǎng)代表，在致辭中動(dòng)情地回憶了與海歸學(xué)校的不解之緣：

“回想2年前，我們?cè)谶x擇國(guó)際學(xué)校的時(shí)候，研究和走訪了蘇州很多國(guó)際學(xué)校，對(duì)這些學(xué)校的教育理念和教學(xué)方式，或多或少有這樣那樣不滿意的地方，直到我們遇到了海歸學(xué)校，它的“根深中華，創(chuàng)新國(guó)際”的理念深深地吸引了我們，中西文化兼收并蓄，面向世界開拓創(chuàng)新，這正是我們苦苦尋找的學(xué)校，于是義無反顧地報(bào)考了，并且也只報(bào)考了這一所學(xué)校，從此成了海歸學(xué)校的鐵粉。

回顧張易佳在海歸學(xué)校近2年的學(xué)習(xí)和生活，我驚喜地發(fā)現(xiàn)張易佳長(zhǎng)大了，成熟了。原來英語磕磕巴巴的她現(xiàn)在可以用流利的英語和老師同學(xué)們交流和討論問題了;原來對(duì)家長(zhǎng)的意見只是點(diǎn)頭稱是的她開始擁有自己的想法，并能調(diào)理清晰地表達(dá)出來了;原來只關(guān)心自己的她開始關(guān)注環(huán)境問題、教育不公等社會(huì)現(xiàn)象了，并致力于盡自己力所能及的力量想辦法去解決這些問題。看著張易佳的變化和成長(zhǎng)，我們都很慶幸當(dāng)初選擇了海歸學(xué)校。”

從高一開始，熱愛科學(xué)的蕭同學(xué)就在各大國(guó)際競(jìng)賽中屢獲佳績(jī)，在替他開心的同時(shí)，媽媽更欣慰的是他這兩年來的迅速成長(zhǎng)：

“我總結(jié)這兩年他的成長(zhǎng)主要在2個(gè)方面，一是“自理”，一是“自律”——“自理”指的是“自我理解的能力”，對(duì)自己內(nèi)心的堅(jiān)持，慢慢懂得自己喜歡什么，如何去爭(zhēng)取。同時(shí)，他更加自律了，知道如何制定計(jì)劃，如何努力達(dá)到目標(biāo)。我覺得這是他進(jìn)入高中階段**的變化和提高。

希望他以后堅(jiān)持所愛，快樂探索。讓人生更有意義，對(duì)社會(huì)更有價(jià)值。”

10年級(jí)張同學(xué)是本次獲獎(jiǎng)的唯一一位高一學(xué)生，媽媽希望，獲獎(jiǎng)能給懂事的她更多動(dòng)力。

“她能獲獎(jiǎng)，我們很替她開心。之前她一直在鎮(zhèn)江比較好的學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)，但是英語程度還是不夠，也不肯說。這一年來，她的英語明顯提高了。而且現(xiàn)在更自信更陽光，很有自己的想法和主見……相比以前在公立學(xué)校，現(xiàn)在運(yùn)動(dòng)量也增加了，每天到點(diǎn)就去運(yùn)動(dòng)，還拍運(yùn)動(dòng)視頻給我看。

希望這次獲獎(jiǎng)不要給她帶來太大壓力，而要以此為動(dòng)力，慢慢找到自己的興趣，為之努力。”

是肯定，也是激勵(lì)

如中學(xué)部校長(zhǎng)Mr. David Brian所說，初次獲獎(jiǎng)的三名學(xué)生對(duì)海歸學(xué)校而言具有特殊的意義，更將為學(xué)校確立“傳統(tǒng)和標(biāo)準(zhǔn)”，是學(xué)校的驕傲和未來學(xué)弟學(xué)妹們的努力方向。

海歸學(xué)校中方校長(zhǎng)張劍瀾祝賀幾位獲獎(jiǎng)同學(xué)，并親自創(chuàng)作了一首小詩，贈(zèng)予同學(xué)們。

“奧卡斯”獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金秉承“公平、公正、公開，不拘一格選拔人才”的原則，對(duì)所有海歸高中學(xué)生開放申請(qǐng)，獲獎(jiǎng)學(xué)生必須愛國(guó)守法、品學(xué)兼優(yōu)，并滿足積極參加校非學(xué)術(shù)類活動(dòng)等要求。獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金評(píng)定委員會(huì)由學(xué)校資方代表、中外方校長(zhǎng)、中學(xué)校長(zhǎng)、學(xué)生代表、家委會(huì)代表等共同組成。經(jīng)過學(xué)生申請(qǐng)、資格審查、評(píng)委會(huì)面試等環(huán)節(jié)，產(chǎn)生最終的獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)摺?/p>
